Keiko Hojo

Keiko Hojo was born in 1971 in Hyogo, Japan, and received her bachelor degree from Kobe Pharmaceutical University in 1994. She was graduated from Graduate School of Pharmacy, Kobe Pharmaceutical University, and trained as a medicinal scientist in School of Medicine, Kobe University for a couple of years. She then moved to her present position as an Assistant Professor of medicinal chemistry in Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kobe Gakuin University in 1996, and obtained her PhD from Osaka University in 2005 under the direction of Professor Koichi Kawasaki. She got a one-year visiting scientist position (Professor John D. Wade group) in FNI, The University of Melbourne (2013-2014). She has received 7th Korean Peptide Society Award for Young Investigators (2003), The Japan Peptide Society Award for Young Scientists (2008), and TAKEDA Young Scientists Award for Pharmaceutical Sciences (2012). Her research interests are in peptide chemistry and medicinal chemistry.
